Samsung's New Fold-able Phone

Conception and Planning

Samsung first concepted an idea of a fold-able OLED smartphone in 2014, and have been focused on
completing this project for a while. Samsung plans to bring out a new type of phone to the market
with a creative idea set behind it. The new phone will have the specifications of the latest Samsung
Galaxy 9 with a twist in its design. The product would be fold-able, and would be coming out in public
as of this year. This complex phone will bring nostalgia to flip phone users with its form, and will
most likely be popular for the elderly.

Goals for the Future

The fold-able smartphone has the potential to be even more profitable than Samsung's previous phones.
They recently were lacking in sales from a decline in their mobile division, and they are trying to
bring their numbers back up by moving up the release of their latest Galaxy Note 9 phone model.
The release of a fold-able phone to the public would definitely increase Samsung's profits, and also
inspire new ideas into innovating technology.

Productivity

Problems with designing this phone for Samsung would be how Samsung's engineers are going to figure
out how to fit in the Galaxy 9's specifications into the new moderate-sized phone. Workers would also
need to figure out the amount of flexibility put into the phone, and how to format the new android system.
Despite these issues, the new Samsung phone will bring about a lot of numbers for Samsung because of how
unique their idea is and the quality of their phone's material. This design will create future opportunities
for new kinds of flexible technology to be developed into the future.
